This leech breeding bed is full of straw for your pet leeches to lay coons on, twice a year, in Spring and then again in Fall. The leech cocoons will be full of babies inside and they will only hatch when they are raised under the right conditions. The straw bed hangs on hooks, to be suspended over water. It should be half-submerged underwater and half-way above water.
